Derek Wilson

Derek Wilson has made personal fitness and training his life’s work. He attended Spartanburg Methodist College and Francis Marion University on an athletic scholarship in pursuit of his professional baseball dreams.

His next level of athletic achievement was to become a strength and conditioning coach for Francis Marion University after finishing his degree in 2005. This next phase of athletic achievement was the obvious choice for him as he comes from a background of athletes. Derek believes each client is unique and that their training and fitness goals should be tailored to their specific needs. He is knowledgeable in core development, human anatomy, weight loss, speed training, and overall fitness improvement. Derek’s signature motto is “Don’t wish for it. Work for it.”

Derek is very passionate about community and giving back through charitable giving. Derek began an after-school exercise program for teachers in Lexington School District Five to motivate teachers to “Get Fit & Stay Fit”. Derek host a variety of fitness events to provide the community an opportunity to Get Fit & Stay Fit, while encouraging a healthy lifestyle. In addition, Derek has begun pop-up hip-hop aerobics classes to reach out to surrounding communities and offer a night of getting fit.
